Earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, and a Tsunami Threat in Hawaii?

28 Feb

Heyya!

Well as some of you may have known, about a month ago Haiti was struck by a 7.0 earthquake… and recently, Chile was hit with a 8.8 magnitude earthquake… All of today the Northwest Pacific coast was in high warning of treacherous tsunamis from this high magnitude earthquake. It was said that Hawaii’s big island was to be hit with 14 foot high tsunami waves, but luckily there was a low tsunami height of 3.2 feet high reported on some of the islands. Islands such as Maui, Kauai, and Oahu where all evacuated after the threat of a destructive tsunami. Luckily Hawaii escaped major damage from the Tsunami. But, those of you in Chile and Haiti, my heart goes out to you and your families, and I hope everything is okay. As you can see, there are many natural disasters happening lately, as these three happened in less than a month. I am seriously scared after what has been happening lately. So whatever we can do to fix pollution, such as just simply recycling, could help slow the process of global warming and other global problems. The Earth has the ability to fix itself over time, so let’s do our part and help it to heal.

Wow. Exactly how I feel. 😦 And your right, pollution does overtime cause more frequent and dangerous natural disaster because of the rising temperatures. It’s mostly everyone’s fault. If only we had a world-wide leader to help us in this to get us all going…
